Personal Smart Spaces version 0.5.0 released.

We are happy to announce the release of Personal Smart Spaces (PSS) version 0.5.0 to the open source community. This software allows the creation of a functional Personal Smart Space. This release includes an java installer to ease the installation and configuration process. PERSIST participants from TSSG, ICCS and Soluta attended the Future Internet Assembly in Stockholm.

The PERSIST participants attended a number of cross domain topic sessions at the event as well as the cluster sessions.

PERSIST also participated in the poster session at the event.

PERSIST presents at the "Ambient intelligence (AmI) for elderly and disabled population" event in Slovenia

 

PERSIST consortium has presented the Personal Smart Spaces vision  and achievements of PERSIST project during the  Ambient intelligence (AmI) for elderly and disabled population event . The event took place on March 4th in  Ljubljana, Slovenia and was co-organized by (i) Institute for Rehabilitation, Republic of Slovenia (IRRS) and (ii) Security Technology Competence Centre (SETCCE, Slovenia). The main focus of the event was demonstration of a AmI prototype for elderly and disabled people impleneted in the IRIS smart home (visit this page for more ). PERSIST technical coordinator Michael Crotty (TSSG) has presented innovative mobile self adapting smart space concepts that could in future be potentially adapted and integrated in future ambient assiting living solutions, prof. dr. Anton Zupan (IRRS) has presented the traditional smart solutions for eldery and disabled population, Jan Porekar (SETCCE) has presented and demonstated the Ambient intelligence prototype and the AmI enabling iCore platform and Mr. Jurij Dovžan (Government of Republic of Slovenia, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology) has presented interests of Government of Republic of Slovenia and future funding possiblities that may further finance research and developement of ambient assisted living technologies.

PERSIST @ FIA Madrid

The PERSIST project is participated in a number of panel discussions at FIA Madrid.

Kajetan Dolinar (SETCCE) on the topic of Future Internet Services in the Identity and Privicy Session.

Patrick Hayden (TSSG) presented PERSIST in panel 1 of the Future Internet Service Offer which discussed the topic "Internet of Services and Internet of Things: adapting to user, task and location in a seamless fashion." Also participating in the panel were Alberto Leon (Telefonica) and Joris Claessens (EMIC).
